We meet the colorful world of capitalism. This world offers us indispensable tastes and new innovations that we are impressed with. We’re both fascinated and getting used to it. Walt Disney is one of the most important names in this world’s pioneers. He is the one who has gathered everyone’s interest and appreciation from 7 to 70 with the world he created. While reaching all humanity with the cartoons he created, he also built a huge park where Disneyland was created for families to enjoy together. To better understand his success, we need to get to know him better.
His real name was Walter Elias Disney. He was born in 1901 in a small town in Chicago. His family’s economic situation was very bad. Because his father was sick, he could not work and Walt left school and started working. Then, he got a bargain at the bookstore to buy a book, saying it was a free course in Kansas. Walt decided to take this opportunity and began taking drawing lessons. On the other hand, he had to return to Chicago because he had to make money and take care of his family. Then, he started working for a newspaper and was fired because he was not creative enough. As can be understood from here, Disney managed to continue despite many difficulties.
One fine day, while he was drawing again, he heard a click in the room. A little mouse was moving on the floor. This mouse attracted Disney’s attention and he began to feed it. After a while, there was a friendship between them. Disney loved this lovely little friend and decided to draw her. That mouse had been the turning point for him. Later, he decided to go to his friend in Hollywood with his drawings. On the suggestion of his wife, they named it Mickey Mouse and made the first film they called “Steamboat Willie.” After this movie, which set the record-breaking record, he and his brother founded Walt Disney Production and became a global player. Another milestone in Walt’s life was the foundation of Disneyland. This idea came to mind in an interesting way when watching the children play with the Ferris wheel in the park. He dreamed of a large park that appealed to people of all ages where their families could have fun with their children. Disneyland was preparing to implement the project, this amusement park, transportation, climate, taking into account many factors such as the population had chosen the most appropriate location. Unfortunately, before the construction of the park was completed, he died of lung cancer in 1966. He left behind a rich cultural heritage that was passed on from generation to generation, including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Cinderella, Snow White, and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio and many other important projects.
Walt Disney said that if you can dream it, you can do it. Despite his life, which is full of obstacles, we see that he tries to reach his goal without hesitation. For him, being successful meant not giving up, and as you can see from his life, success came from a hard time. There were turning points in his life. Walt Disney was the creator of a lot of things we didn’t know existed before, such as meeting the mouse and the dream of a big amusement park. We can call him the man of the firsts. We don’t know if his work can be done better, but if we want to be as successful as he is, we must designate the Walt Disney philosophy as our philosophy of life and never give up.
