Blog: Regarding the Training Course – “Objective Diversity” Paris, France

Ahmet Taha YÜCEL

Hello everyone!

I’m Ahmet Taha. I would like to write this blog to share Erasmus+ Training Course experience in the Noisy-Le-Grand, France from 26th September to 4th October 2021. It was an honor to be selected for this project and to represent my country and Anka Youth Association in the project.

This training aims to bring together both youth professionals but also young people with fewer opportunities to raise awareness of diversity and equip them for a more effective and positive consideration of this dimension, either in their work with very different young people in their daily lives

I worked as a young volunteer in Turkey for the integration of refugee children. At the same time as a provincial chairman of Kırklareli Child Rights Committee, I would like to heartedly attend this project cause I wanted to better understand the racism faced by refugee children and be able to contribute them better by being aware after the project. Nelson Mandela says “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. This project really gave me this weapon.

Thanks to project, I’ve met marvelous people who volunteering for refugees from some countries of Europe. During the project with these professionals. We discussed the topic. We got to know leaders who became a hero for generations for fighting racism. We discussed to each other’s ideas about permanent solution about racism inspired by them. We had video presantations and workshops. Perhaps communication is the first step in breaking down prejudice. We took this step there with our activities and And then we realized that we are not different. We’re unique.

In conclusion, This project has given me things in my life that I will never forget. Meeting with awesome people, understanding multiculturalism, being aware. I can summarize this training with the words of Malcolm X. ‘’Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.’’

Therefore, I hope for the peace of Europe.
